Application approval meetings
These meetings follow the application checks and are the dates when projects will be reviewed and assessed.

An application and all of the supporting evidence must be submitted at least two weeks before the meeting when you want it to be assessed. You should also be available within those two weeks in case any last-minute details are needed.

Remember that the LEADER team is here to help you!

Although any project must be your idea and you will be responsible for making it happen, the whole purpose of the LAG and LEADER team is to help you. Everything that we do is free of charge, and we can discuss with you your ideas, how they might fit into the funding guidelines and we will guide you through the whole application process.

Our aim is to make sure that the projects in our area succeed in getting the funding that they are entitled to and, more importantly, make a difference to your business or community.

Do call us sooner rather than later! Our contact details are here

Training support for your grant application

For any help with your grant application, your first call should be to the leader team, who will be there to guide you. As well as talking to you on the telephone or face-to-face, they also arrange workshops where necessary and have commissioned an online training course that they can give you around-the-clock access to. Just ask what they feel you need to know and they will endeavour to recommend the best training for you.

The new Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) opened for business on the 18th January 2008 and will run to 2013; it replaces the England Rural Development Programme (ERDP). The RDPE is jointly funded by the EU, through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, and the UK Government.
